I have the framebuffer x server installed on my
system. I changed the softlink /etc/X11/X to point to
the XF86_FBDev and made the changes in the XF86Config
file. Still I feel that the X server is not using the
framebuffer devices. Even when I rem
X gurus,
Can anyone help with using the new Radeon9000 driver support with
Xinerama? The setup is as follows:
One AGP Nvidia 4400 (middle display)
Two PCI Radeon 9000s (left and right displays)
All displays at 1600x1200 (DVI)
Latest X from CVS
Binary drivers from Nvidia
Linux 2.4.19-16mdk

Felix,
Thanks for finding and fixing this vulnerability in the DRI extension.
I'm copying the xpert list on this fix, because it looks like their may
be other extensions with the same vulnerability. For example:

I believe the XFree86 President, David Dawes, makes the fi
Cvs work great with a r128, it's a radeon driver issue.

Didn't know of that one (as most other internals in XFree). I made new patches
(against CVS this time). I noted that the german keyboard was fixed a while ago,
and this is the same patch
Who makes the decisions for things like XFree86 freeze dates and releases and

Hi,
Since a couple of days my CVS build of X (14-dec-2002) doesn't do any XV
accelerated video anymore. Any work going on on this part that could be
responsible for this?
card: i830 (mobile).
DRM/DRI/AGPGART all load and initialize without a problem.

Yes. Decent in 4.2.1 (sometimes crashes), absolutely perfect (as far
as I can see) in CVS.

You can use it, but it's not accelerated.

Yes, AFAICT it will work. That card, according to http://www.google.com>google, uses a 3dfx
Voodoo Banshee chipset - so, if you're editing your
XF86Config-4, then 'driver "tdfx"' is what you're
looking for.
If you're using a GUI configurator, it's a Voodoo
Banshee or Voodoo3. That's oversimplifyin
