In future I will take more time to make my point better. I have already
replied in depth to the original mail on the subject. And my apologise
to all for mistakenly starting a flame here.

Can I point out that while criticism is a healthy part of these list
servers can we make it constructive.

I can live with "Trevor Cushen is an idiot you should be running X
product on Y Server, see so and so web site for more details" that is
constructive. And even I the idiot get to learn something. But just
"Trevor Cushen is an idiot" is useless to everyone.

And finally before anyone replies, I know nobody said I was an idiot but
also I don't see a lot of replies to the original question, at the
moment anyway.

So to wrap up this flame, can we get back to the question posed
orginally?.

"Which is the better web server to use and why?"

Can you justify this statement? How is windows any easier to
load
balance a service on than a win32 platform?

For the simple fact that the odds of a new exploit / hole being
discovered for IIS vastly outweighs the odds of one being found
        for Apache?

Again, how is win32 any better at streaming media then Apache on
a
*NIX server? And at a better price?
