Remember that these distros usually do nothing more than put a gui on well established features of Linux itself. For firewalling they use IPTABLES, for HTTP proxying they use squid, etc. This is pretty static across the board. The interface is really all that is different, not the underlying technology. So for me, yes, I would use this type of distro in a mission critical environment. In fact, I do. In short, under the hood it is all very well established. danielrm26
