MRTG is a good product for this (or a it's derivative RDDtool & Cricket). Setting it up for bandwdith is relatively trival; there are many automated tools that'll do this for you. For other tasks, you'll have to know where in the MIB OIB to go looking for the info you want to poll. One caution is that with a large number of routers the polling is (was? Haven't checked lately) serial. This has led me to have issues where polling overlapped and subsequent issues. For the traffic type, you'll need an RMON/RMON2 type MIB, and I suspect MRTG is not your application of choice there.
