i am having a simaler problem with my AC
i have a 96 Sentra Gxe i think ik have traced the problem back to 
the ilde speed actuator, and or the idle speed controle
which regulates the idle speed when a load is placed on the 
engine (such as the AC)  the part is a dealer only part and it runs
around $125.00 roughly as far as how to replace it i have no idea
i am having the dealer replace mine.

if not i suggest taking it to a Nissan dealer and having them
test it out
