Btw, being a newbie is there a document I can read so that I would know the
what are's, where is, and how to's under the hood of my car? I mean, I
wouldn't know an oxygen sensor from anything else.
I'm not really a total idiot with cars. We actualy ran a general car repair
facility back in the aerly 80's. But that was more than 15 years ago. A lot
has changed ever since. Then, ECU's were never heard of (Well, in my country
at least) Everything was done by hand. I should say, it was art to see a
mechanic tweak half a dozen screws on a carb to keep the engine purring
smoothly, among other things...
Back then, we used to have a Toyota Starlet. I helped my dad changed its
engine from a 1.2L to a 1.3L when the old engine block cracked up when it
overheated.
Now, I'm driving a Sentra and my interest in cars is creeping back on me
again, so any info regarding the tweakable parts (and their location) on my
car would be very much appreciated.
