Hi,

The following works with Tomcat. I don't know about other Servlet engines :-(

Just place the war files in the webapps folder and then start tomcat. Upon startup, 
tomcat will automatically uncompress the war into a folder by the same name.

e.g. if your app is called "demo", then it should be stored in a war called demo.war. 
When tomcat uncompresses this war, it will create a folder called "demo"
The url for this app will then become "http://localhost:8080/demo"; -- assuming that 
you are running tomcat as a standalone application, and accessing it form the same
machine.
