Making a few changes then using a full nightly build to see if your
changes work is usually vastly overkill. You should be able to test
your changes by hand for the most part (doing 'make -f Makefile.sfw
clobber' and 'make -f Makefile.sfw install's in your directory, or
'make clobber/install's in your package directories)
to make sure things seem ok. If you already have done a full build
and have a populated proto area you can even do things like 'checkproto'
to see if there are any complaints between your proto area and your
packages that nightly would report.

Then when you think you've done what you can by hand, that's when
you fire off a full build.
