Zach: I had purchased a 9.5 dg. SMT Mv2 head and liked it quite a bit, I had no particular difficulty hitting this compared to my other drivers. That is to say when my swing was behaving I got good results in direction and distance. I had the head on a Harrsion Pro 2.5 Ti shaft. I say had since I sold it to a younger guy I work with who I would say is in the 9-10 handicap range. Niether of us are long drive guys, but we hit the ball far enough. Since he is a better golfer than myself I will repeat his comments to me. He found the head the quite forgiving on mishits, still getting good distance and accurancy on mishits. The other comment was that he was able to pretty much work the ball however he wanted.
I will be building another one soon. Hope that helps somehow, Nick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Zach" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, August 19, 2002 3:57 PM Subject: RE: ShopTalk: new driver Hi All, I have recently purchased a SMT MV2, anyone have any trouble hitting the club head. I am joining the LDA and am in the process of building a long driver. I know it is the largest but that doesn't always mean it is easier to hit. Has anyone played with the Carnoustie, is it as hard to hit as I have heard it is? Zach --- "Harry F.
