I know that ADSL is available to something like 40% of Austin at the
present time, and the service level depends on your isp, since it is not a
shared bandwidth topology like cable modems.  Make sure your ISP has the
pipe to the internet to back up the 386Kbps to 6MBps speeds that ADSL
supports.

OuterNet, the company I work for, will begin to offer ADSL services in the
next month or so (although primarily for business customers).
