No Subject

Well, I figure I'm not the only one would want to know this.  Being a
newbie who has not networked with linux, what steps are necessary to get on
ResNet?  Do we need to find out an IP address or netmask etc?  I have
looked at several general networking howtos, but they were rather difficult
to apply.  Is there a RedHat package or module which handles networking in
an easier to use format?
