Hi Keith, What accounting package does your friend currently use? One of the things my company is looking to move into is the creation of Joomla/ Magento/Virtuemart websites that integrate straight into an online accounting software like saasu.com or xero.com. The beauty about this type of solution is that all online sales can result in the auto creation of invoices in the accounting system. This should hopefully save some time on the book-keeping side of things.
I'm in the process of moving my business to Saasu, so would be more than happy to share my experiences with it.
