Universities believe it or not, have an international naming convention for
their usernames.

When I was a student in Uni and become a academic, I had an issue with
requiring the same username for both accounts. When I asked, if I could make
it something else, the IT support mention that there was an International
naming convention for these things and it was not something he could just
"do".

I do not remember the name of the convention, but it should still exist. As
it was to help with Staff/Students traversing across universities
internationally.
