Current Android devices like the nexus 5 will be capable of running
Spectrul, using technologies like Alljoyn to project a desktop launcher to
a external display and connected through bluetooth to an external control
device(s). As for applications, Spectrul will open up a new playground for
convergent apps, apps which are able to provide basic functionality while
in mobile mode and more advance functionality in desktop mode. No Spectrul
will not run applications like adobe photoshop (in its current form), but
thats not the point or focus of Spectrul.

If you read my post above i didn't not say that Spectrul will be using NFC
as the ongoing connection method! This would be like you said, impossible.
As i said Spectrul will use a variety of open technologies including
Bluetooth for wireless ID/location/connection to accessories, NFC for
connections to tech which does not support Bluetooth, and Alljoyn which is
an open varient on WiFi direct technology and is more than capable to
providing an ongoing video feed (similar to apple Airplay).

I also never said that it was my initial goal to disrupt these $B
Businesses, however if after the release and increased interest of
Spectrul, Spectrul-like features do start presenting themselves in other
technologies from the major players, i will remind you. (Similar to what
has happened to the Ouya launch and Xbox One/PS4 developments)
