Nancy,
May I ask where you got the chairs? I bought some IR lights etc, with
the idea of making a sauna, but did not get past finding the wood.
Mostly we have plywood, or planks 12 inches wide, which I thought were
not wide enough for 3 or 4 lights, each is 4" wide I think. I do not
tolerate the glues in plywood, and may be sensitive to other terpenes
in wood as well, esp if it is heated. I am thinking it would not get
very hot with infra red lights, though.

Faith- Another thing that seems to help is I have kept a bottle of
Hops/Valerian capsules by my bedside with my usual water bottle and
take it when I wake up too early. You wouldn't have to taste the
Valerian in those. It can help me go back to sleep. I haven't used
it since I started doing my homemade sauna (cost about $200 plus
shipping for heat emitters and fixtures, $30 for a couple of slatted
wooden folding chairs, $10 for a metal shelf unit we are using to hold
up part of the heaters).

I haven't been waking up after only 5-7 hours of sleep and lying awake
since we started using the FIR as a sauna, even though it doesn't get
as hot as a regular sauna.
