I just wrote Gov. Schwarzenegger asking that he rescind or amend the legislation banning raw milk (actually banning milk containing more than 10ppm coliform bacteria which are BENEFICIAL and kill off pathological bacteria!). There are a couple states where it was legal to purchase raw milk from dairies. Many people purchase raw milk marked for pet consumption only. Pasteurized milk has all the beneficial enzymes killed out that helps you digest. The cows that are in the commercial dairies have been given growth hormones, vaccinations, GM grain and other things that many people want to avoid in their lives. This is the reason people are fighting for legalization and choice.

I did not know that raw milk was available anywhere in the U.S. I thought that all milk had to be pastuerized.

There are more attacks on healthy products out there. California signed a bill that will make raw milk unavailable. We have been working to get it legal and it being available in California was a plus. This will be a major set back.
