My poor husband has just been through 2 weeks of misery from one kidney stone that was lodged just an inch from dropping into the bladder. We've spent 4 nights in the ER, with complications from dehydration, vomiting and diarreaha. We've learned much about this problem during this episode. There are 3 types of typical kidney stones and each is unique in what it is composed of. Having a lab analyze your stone is a big plus to knowing how to prevent them for you in the future. There are many foods and meds that contribute to the formation of stones. Of course plenty of fresh water helps in all cases. We were very surprised when a hospital nurse showed us a list of several "culprits" for a specific type of stone. Dark leafy green veggies and brewed tea were high on the list for one of the three types of stones! You need to do your homework when you can find out what the stone consists of. As for the topic of this group which is the use of cs, he isn't yet been taking it but will hopefully in the next few days when he can eat again and keep something in his stomach. We had not been using cs for ourselves prior, since I just purchased a generator in December. Our plan is to begin taking cs daily. I'm making cs in a big SilverGen pro for a kitten/cat shelter I'm involved in. The results there from putting them on drinking cs and using in ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers is amazing! If you have pets, besure to check out the silverpets group . I was wondering about disolving the stones with the lemon juice and tea. I have been told that the passing of the stones was the painful part. Do you know the theory as to why they would cause pain being dissolved? Also, someone mentioned that the lemon was good for dissolving calcium stones. I wonder if the same would hold true for dissolving calcium deposits elsewhere in the body? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
