Have you ever noticed that there seems to be a silent
social "speed limit" in grocery stores. If one is in a
hurry, and wiz's by a perusing, slow moving shopper,
one often is met with raised eyebrows, looks of
indignation, sometimes even rude remarks - like people
expect an apology from a speeder, for leaving their
carts in the middle of the isle while they meander
away.

Groceries stores, big chains esp. lack the ability to
stimulate one of the important 5 senses - smell -
because everything is packaged in plastic. They rely
heavily on two others....visual and aural. Some really
savvy malls have introduced essential oils filtered
through the ac systems to stimulate the sense of smell
and additional spending.
