All silver is sensitive to light. The smaller the particles, the shorter the wavelength of light they absorb. As long as the wavelength of light is longer than the absorption band of the particles, it does not interact with the silver at all. Thus clear CS will be absorbing somewhere in the UV region. Indoors you have almost no UV light. Also ordinary glass blocks UV pretty effectively if shorter than a certain wavelength. Thus when stored in glass, even if outside, clear CS will likely not be affected. If the CS is yellow, then it is absorbing in the violet or blue region, and can be affected by bright light, even in glass.

Nonsense. Sovereign Silver is a good cs and it is sold in brown bottles to protect the product from light as are all cs priducts on the market. CS needs to be protected from light. Faith G.

I think
commercial CS is sold in brown bottles, because usually it isn't
very good
CS. Maybe they don't want you to see the dark yellow color?

You prefer plastic, I prefer glass. I don't find it

plastic if ever I can help it for anything. And
furthermore, I have
never seen CS sold in stores in anything but brown glass,
though some
people sell it over the internet in plastic. Been there, done
that and
sent it back. Faith g.
