I think its probably fine to use Annie especially topically. I prefer mine to be clear, but the one Holland and Barrett sell is always a gold colour. I believe this means the particles are larger than when its clear, but shouldn't be a problem. The stuff on the electrodes can be wiped off and is just a result of the current passing through the water. Dee
