Sandy, that's fascinating.........because my 90 yo step mom was hospitalized 2/4 this year where the subsequently did surgery to clean out the knee. I don't know what grew--am assuming MRSA since she continues to be septic. Has thus far had 3 instances of additional 2 pints of blood given; helps for a week or so, then back to significant pain. She says it's arthritis and I believe her--her wrist was as swollen as her knee last year. I don't expect her to escape but it's possible. Many prayers. And the antibiotics have cleared her mind. She's never been willing to try anything I suggested that wasn't echoed by a medical person. I will watch the responses you get carefully..........thanks for posting. Saralou
