A Jacobs ladder is a sort of climbing arc that is gapped from about 1/4 inch to 1 to 3 inches at the top from a height of several feet. The spark climbs up the wires. Frankenstein movies usually feature one of these but usually rather large ones to look really scientific and spooky. Diane -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
