Congratulations on your approaching grandmotherhood! :-)

Peppermint/spearmint (either/or/both) are great to soothe the stomach.
Whether a tea, chewing on fresh leaves, or candy, it works.  Notice some
restaurants give you mints after dinner?  It helps calm the stomach and
prevent vomiting.
