Oh, boy. What's a guy gonna say, huh? I spent most of the day helping my kids with a couple of their projects, so I wasn't here to ride herd on Marshalee and Debbie or the *rest* of you wiseacres. <sigh>
As for you "ladies," I haven't had to referee as juvenile an altercation since my kids' ages were in single digits. <scowl!> Understand this: It is time to stop responding *angrily* to each other. Done. Finished. NO MORE! Got it? It is also time to apologize, to each other and to the rest of us for disturbing the peace. It's time to embrace your inner adult! Marshalee "cast the first stone" by commenting on Deborah's grammar. For that sin she was accused of being "anal." Instead of apologizing immediately for offending Debbie when her intentions were misinterpreted, Marsha responded equally pettishly, and we were off to the races. The group can > tell you all about me when I go wild over "preventive" instead of > "preventative"!! Love ya! Marshalee Boy, that sure doesn't look like a deliberate personal insult to me. As useless as grammar and spelling comments are (And, yes, they *ARE* useless!), I hope everybody can see that this was not intended as an attack. I know many of you haven't been here long enough to remember the nurturing help Marsha (as she was known at the time <wink>) has given to so many of our members. She's been here longer than *I* have, people. Though she brings her share of foibles and dramas with her, we've other members, just as valuable to us, who have their own crotchets and quirks as well -- and that we all put up with in the interest of our mission. I'll boot Marshalee or Debbie just as readily as I will anybody else, if they're determined to make me do it. I don't want to have to exile either of you. *Please* do not require it of me. For those of you who piled on in one way or another, ask yourself if that's how you'd like to be treated in the future when the time comes that *you* have screwed up? Others of you have been making reasonably gentle fun of the situation, but you really need to refrain from further jests at this point to allow the situation to resolve.
