Candice: My sentiments exactly...which is why in the first place I said we should be achieving Super Intelligence on an individual level....
Er that's interesting - because there doesn't seem to be much interest here in the future of human nature as distinct from AGI's. I personally think we'll see remarkable leaps forward in general levels of human intelligence and especially creativity, long before we see remarkable AGI's. But it's a pity that we don't also have some speculation here about future human possibilities - e.g. brain machine interfaces, the potential and future of open source organizations on the net, and all that transhuman stuff... Computers are, and the first AGI's almost certainly will be, EXTENSIONS of human beings, not independent entities. Humans have always adapted to new machines/ extensions of themselves, and, we can be confident, will also adapt in major ways to truly autonomous mobile robots walking around the place. P.S. Why DON'T we hear more from the transhumanists here? Or did I miss earlier conversations? ----- This list is sponsored by AGIRI: http://www.agiri.org/email To unsubscribe or change your options, please go to: http://v2.listbox.com/member/?member_id=4007604&id_secret=57224198-65f30a
