Jordan,

The emails you called lectures are not that, but good sage advice, not from
users, but the actual developers of the components you are having trouble
with. If you listen to them, and describe the issue you are having in the
manner they are requesting, you will get the best possible support
available, from the proverbial horsed mouths.

However, they need to see EXACTLY what is going on.

>From what I can summarize,

You have a new 4.0.4 system. It has an ITSP, and calls to that ITSP work.

You have soft clients on extension on the system, that are not external to
the local network, and you can call from phone to phone, and to the ITSP
trunks.

You describe remote workers - how are they configured - Give IP address
information, proxie information, setting on the system, nat configs, etc.

Go into the /var/log/sipxpbx directory and delete all of the log files.
Then make a few test calls with the issue you are having. In that same
directory, run merge-logs. This will create a merged.xml file. Go to
Diagnostics, Snapshot, and take a snapshot of your system.

Put the snapshot and merged.xml file on a server where they can be accessed
and send your description to this list with links to those files. You will
get a long way with that, as they can see what is happening with the calls,
and the configuration that they are using for those calls.

Also, download SIPVIEWER, you can follow the calls from that program with
the Merged.xml file.

Hopefully this email has helped you speak sipXecs voip support. Don't get
frustrated, they don't want to waste their time or yours, but their view of
this issue is like looking at a bowling ball, while we stare at marbles.

Good luck to you.

Your description of the behavioral aspects of the problem is clear but
there is not enough information to begin to be of help.

Screen shots are of no use. A sipx-snapshot is not the same as a
screen shot. There is a "problem reporting" section on the sipxbridge
wiki page. Please follow it and mail a sipx-snapshot.
