Actually an end user can easily put entries into the polycom and they are saved persistently on the sipxecs server. If you uncheck the option 'use group speed dials' this will happen. For me it was much easier to have a centrally maintained directory than going to a bunch of phones in 'public' spaces and update them all the time. There area conditions under which the per-phone settings and directory can be lost (firmware upgrades is one that I know of), so be careful of that. -Eric
