They need to have at least one of the same codecs selected. You might want to capture some of this traffic and inspect the SIP information to really see what is going on.

Now the phones were able to receive/call locally. But why cant our Polycom 650 phone cannot call a cisco phone locally, but were able to receive calls from a cisco phone?
