Hi Jobst:
HTML formatting is separate from scripting, though the two are often
combined (e.g. in Outlook, Netscape mail). Many lighweight email
programs (e.g. Eudora) create and display HTML formatted email without
having the scripting engines.
Don't get me wrong - scripting _is_ useful, but also dangerous because
it executes commands under your authority. The best idea I've seen was
when someone mentioned a "run as" command. Imagine right-clicking a
program or script to run as a low privilege user in it's own window. In
Unix, could this be done using a new X-server window and su?
It would be good to see animated christmas card .EXEs when I want to.
