[SLUG] VMWare Server free as in free beer

I noticed that VMWare Server 1.0 was released recently and is freely 
downloadable. How is this significantly different from the other VMWare 
versions? A quick skim through the site gives me nothing more than 
"VMWare Server is more suitable for servers" and "VMWare Workstation is 
suitable for workstations". I don't see how I can't use VMWare Server to 
install desktop OS's... Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance.
