The 3G infrastructure and the BigPond infrastructure are not the same. In any case, it's an Ubuntu bug. Disconnect from the 3G service. Edit /etc/resolv.conf to add server 10.11.12.13 (or any IPv4 address) and then reconnect to the 3G service. For some reason Notwork Mangler doesn't like editing an empty /etc/resolv.conf -- Glen Turner www.gdt.id.au/~gdt -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
