Title: Now have 45 customers on 1 aPPo
I understand that.   People like to have a regular bill every month, to know precisely what it will be.    The policy will be simple - they get one gig, and when that one gig is tranferred, they get a warning email.    I won't charge for the fraction they go over, only if they hit 2 gigs, and so on.     I haven't worked out the details of doing that yet, however.    It's all about incentives and keeping honest people honest :)

But, since I buy my bandwidth that way (pay by the gig transferred, not by availability), I have to provide incentives for them to NOT abuse the network and fire up Kazaa 24/7.

The first time someone does that, and they buy 15 extra gigs, I'll work a deal with them, it's the incentive thing.   I know how to keep customers happy :)    Besides, I"m going to do my best to filter them out, and thier AUP will say they are not allowed to run P2P swapping services.

I agree, however, customers DO NOT like there bill going up due to transfers.  How about just saying, you hit your transfer level, and then drop there bandwitdth to 64k ..  When they call up to say that their intenret is slow you get them to upgrade to the bigger package!
