From everything I've read, it is darn near
impossible to make money in Canada, competing against the national telephone
company. They have priced the products you need so far out of sight
and so underpriced thier dsl (subsidized heavily by taxes) that it's impossible
to make any good headway where they offer consumer DSL.
Your only means of competition is to provide
business interconnect and business class internet services, in those
areas.
On the other hand, there many outlying areas where
I understand the phone co has no intention of of providing DSL.
