Hi all,   I just did a 7.5miles link using APPO/12db omni & Airbridge indoor/19Db Panel.   I get a RSSI beetween 25% & 35%, My quality goes from 50% to 75%.   I got line of sight but, I only have around 15' above tree's, their is a hill 3 miles from APP with trees of 50 feet. The altitude is the same as APPO.        Both tower are 70 feet.   At 7.5 miles, the freznel zone is 48.495 feet  so I should need at lease 25feet above trees.   I think I only have about 10 or 15feet above those tree's.   With my Preamble set to short, I would get about 500 to 700Kbp/s throughput with this airbridge.  I would get a ping results of 18% paket loss at 1425 or 400.   But when I did a change to long preamble, my throught put when up to 2000kbps/s. I get a 0% loss of packet at 400,800,1200,1425.   It transfer a lot better,     I would like to get a 4Mb link.     So Do I need to elevate another tower higher at the APP,  A tower around 100feet would give me 30 feet more to obtain a better LOS ???   Or maybe an amp with the APPO would increase my RSSI ???               What is legal with a APPO & a 12Db omni ??
