Other lists I'm on have recently been deprecating Lacie in recent years after always recommending them and western digital is one of the companise that now get recommended. I think the rule of thumb is that their older architectures are more robust (ie QA). having said that the only disk I have trouble with (of a mix of Lacie and WD) is the 320 portable Wd. I exchanged it as it kept cutting out but the replacement is identical so I think it's an architecture problem. I only use for temporary items so couldn't be bothered to send it back again. Having said that, it's ok when not on a hub, it seems. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
