In reading the posts concerning 2M, Nats and such, a few comments concerning the planning philosophy for 2005 are in order. Yes, Tom Kallevang and I talked about some possible changes, but with the change of start date that AMA Management decide upon, we decided to make the minimum change we could make and go with the remaining schedule as is to better have a feel for effect the schedule change has made.
Now, for the record, here are the entries* that flew any rounds in the contest that filled the main week of the Nats in 2004. HL-27 2M-69 UNL-101 RES-65 NOS-33 *From the LSF Website Now, 2M was the second largest contest no matter what anyone has said previously, good or bad, that is the story. If you look at this data, HL or NOS, they are the contests on the bubble, not 2m. I am sure that many will site these numbers as schedule induced and not popularity, but for now we are going to live with the numbers we have. With this above in mind, landings, schedule and pretty much all the details of the Nats are in place, please come and enjoy the week with us.
