Joey... we have survived the same Cubicomp, Matador, Softimage/XSI roller-coaster ride. It seems you have had even more rugs, pulled out from under you, than I have. I am at quite a loss as to how to proceed. Calling me "gun-shy" is an understatement.
I do NOT want to put as much effort into learning the finer points of another software, to just be put in the same position, yet again. And just when Redshit3D had come out with such a GREAT GPU render engine. And, like you said, there is no equivalent to ICE, as far as I can tell. I am reluctant to go to Maya or 3DMax as they could suffer the same demise. The latest After Effects came bundled with Cinema 4D (lite) and, locally, there have been a LOT of jobs posted that require Cinema 4D. Anyone have experience with Cinema 4D?
