What really speeds up Redshift is VRAM on the graphicsCard to avoid slow 
PCIe Traffic... 4GB and more makes a big difference.

I select my cards with this priorities:
1. VRAM
2. GPU-Cores
3. Mhz
4. ...

Good idea is a second card only for rendering: no memory used for 
display stuff, complete VRAM for Rendering...

BTW: They are just out with the V1!

I've both cards and the 780 seems to be round about 3 times faster 
than the quadro when rendering with redshift.
