Well, actually, I'd say it's more the equivalent of the GX+ than
the TurboGX+... you're just expanding the memory. With that VSIMM
installed, you're really only adding three resolutions to what you
can do:
1600x1280
1280x1024
1152x900 (double buffered)
The TurboGX+ is more accelerated, and both the TurboGX+ (aka. TGX+,
aka TX4) and the GX+ have 4MB of memory. Those resultions (especially
the double buffered 1152x900 for more speed) are nothing to sneeze at.

Well... in the 2.3.x kernels, you can get the [GXtype] from
/proc/fb (that don't buy you much), as well as better reporting
of the CG6 card type (sorry, I didn't have any GX+'s or TurboGX+'s,
to test with -- now I have both). Probably your best source of
information, though, is to just cd down /proc/openprom for your
card, and get the information there.
