There is a possible conflict
between 2007 NFPA 13 8.6.4.1.4.3
and a manufacturers minimum separation
distance rule.

8:12 > roof > 4:12
minimum separation of sprinklers is 8ft
minimum distance from eave 5 ft along the eave.

if we put one sprinkler at the peak and
the downslope sprinklers > 5ft from the eave,
I end up with sprinklers closer than 8 ft to the
peak sprinkler. The slope is only long enough
to take one sprinkler at the peak, and another
along the slopes toward each eave.

I am in favor of voiding the 8 ft manufacturer spacing,
rather than setting a sprinkler down in the small apex of the eave.
