I have an interesting one now at a college campus in an 5 story 100 year old arts bldg. renovation. The A/E contract documents indicate it's light hazard. But there is a print shop, a wood shop, a foundry, kiln room and oil paint studios and some solvent storage. Insurance engineer is asking questions. After 7 weeks we are still designing LH per the contract documents. I expect the plans to be sighted then maybe we can get a change order to redesign it. I have no access to the faculty to ask questions. I chose not to volunteer the upgrade without the change order. I have asked 3 different times for clarification. Am I going the wrong way here.
