Back in the late 70's I used to be a grunt on a crew that installed floors
of this type. I don't know what the chemical make-up was of the product, but
I can tell you that the type we installed did not burn.
We installed one in a church and it was only a month old and we were called
in the repair the new floor. They had a party of some sort and people put
out their cigarettes on the floor. There were burns as long as a complete
cigarette (3") and the floor never ignited. So it may not be much of a
problem.

Subject: Re[5]: Sprinklers in gymnasium light or OH2

Hello George,

When setup there is not much of a place to push it to. Scaffold will have to
be broken down to 20' to move and work the 2 outside heads, then build up 2
sections work the next 2 heads, add 2 more sections to get to the center
head. Tear it down to 20', move 10 feet and start that over. Not to mention
they are checking to see if the floor covering will support the concentrated
weight of the scaffold, man, and materials when set on the small contact
area wheels have. I might be using lots of plywood.

It is funny tho, They did not install the flooring until after the final
Inspection of the Sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
