We're a bit AC here, we flow the water and even throw monsters on it and measure it, and check to see if its whats supposed to be there.
One of those things I'd rather do now than kick myself for not doing while waiting for the bailiff to announce "All Rise". Others could do it this way to inflate the cost, another valve, more couplings, a cap..... glc -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tom Duross Sent: Friday, February 13, 2009 10:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Preaction inspections Why the T Georgie? I just cut in a valve, close it and trip the valve. Tom Duross There are clear exceptions for freezer in NFPA 25 '02 12.4.3.2 and 12.4.4.2 for freezers. If this is not a freezer there is some gray in 12.4.3.2 for pre-action and deluge that could get you to the same place. I think because if something could go wrong during a fire and a crafty lawyer could use what I see is gray against you I think you should get things in writing from the owner and AHJ if you are not doing a full trip tests. We don't inspect a lot of preaction systems, but all of the owners have not let us do a full trip, they are afraid of water leaking out of the system on to their equipment.
