Many times an occupancy or commodity change such as the intro of uncartoned expanded plastic or flammable liquids will influence such a recommendation.

There is a reason, but without details of the conditions (occupancy, building construction, water supply, etc.), it is impossible to pinpoint why FM Global made the recommendation. The installation rules for suppression mode sprinklers are very specific, and apparently something changed since their acceptance by FM Global three years ago or was missed back then that made these sprinklers a bad fit now. You'll need to look at Data Sheets 2-2 and 8-9 to figure it out, or call and ask them. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Todd Williams Sent: Monday, July 20, 2009 5:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: FM ESFR replacement? All of the obstruction issues were addressed 3 years ago and FM signed off on it. They dropped some significant coin to move bridging and some ductwork. I have no idea where this is coming from. The report should be interesting. At 07:39 AM 7/20/2009, you wrote: >Could be there are obstruction issues?
