If it's a gvmt. project why would they want local alarm only? The LAP alarm is supposed to go to a constantly attended location (unless an air maint. device is utilized and there is a local low press. alarm).

They want box with a buzzer and green (all ok), red (low air pressure), and amber (silence switch on) lights connected to a low air pressure switch. See end of email for the exact language. I found a product that is close to the spec, but missing an amber light at http://www.modsafe.com/low%20pressure%20warning.htm . Priced at $500 not the most economical option either. Might just have the electrician put some parts together. -- Regards, Mark Gouveia 2.7.4 Low Air Pressure Alarm Device Each dry pipe valve trim shall be provided with a local alarm device consisting of a metal enclosure containing an alarm horn or bell, silence switch, green power-on light, red low-air alarm light and amber trouble light. The alarm device shall be activated by the low air pressure switch. Upon reduction of sprinkler system pressure to approximately 10 psig above the dry valve trip point pressure, the low air pressure switch shall actuate the audible alarm device and a red low-air alarm light. Restoration of system pressure shall cause the low-air alarm light to be extinguished and the audible alarm to be silenced. An alarm silence switch shall be provided to silence the audible alarm. An amber trouble light shall be provided which will illuminate upon operation of the silence switch and shall be extinguished upon return to its normal position. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
