Perfectly, since the person we are making the friendly recommendation to is the guy with the stamp.
We could take the back seat approach and not do what I am doing now and let the owner and Eng shoot blind. Or I can "do unto others" and try to collect information and pass it on. Since I didn't finish college, that is the best I can do. I would think that any engineer would prefer someone like us to watch their back as much as we want them to cover ours. For the record, I have repeatedly stated that I don't see any code exception for the omission of the sprinklers in the dry ovens. I have agreed that the autoclave is above my pay grade. I have also been just short of a persistent jerk in trying to get the Insurance Company's name and number from the owner with NO success whatsoever. Autoclaves are pressure vessels as well as heating devices. I would be very reluctant to require a sprinkler inside. The others will probably need some protection with ultra high temp heads. Is there an insurance company involved? I know FM has some stuff on this. BTW, how is the "friendly recommendation role" play out in liability-land?
