TOLCO fig 78 is UL listed for metal deck installation using 1/4 x 1" TEK
screws into 18ga. Metal deck. This would include your 250# plus pipe and
water.

Subject: 1" Armover and 250 lbs.

Members of the Forum,

Will supporting a 1” armover from a metal deck using a ceiling flange with
1½” tek screws require that the 250 lb load factor be part of the total load
for that hanger?

Does hanging from the horizontal vs. the vertical make a difference if the
support can handle the weight, 30 lb point load? The structural EOR is fine
with it.

I am in need of a NFPA interpretation for the OSHPD (Office of Statewide
Health Planning and Development -California) representative.

Thanks,
Ed Cyr
