Accelerate MIC? I thought all fresh water did was create a potential exposure for a new case. If you already got MIC fresh water doesn't accelerate it, does it? Semantics I suppose to your point about reducing MIC whether reducing acceleration or exposure.
These folks came to an SFPE meeting years ago. LEED and water weren't as high a priority then and they seemed only for highly specialized cases. Say where you had 100's of flow switches. But with what I'm hearing about a few states not allowing sprinkler water to hit the ground might be worth looking into for more cases. I'm still leery though. I have found rocks in two systems by noticing weak streams at the ITV outlet. Switch operated but you could tell something wasn't right. I thought that was the primary advantage. Maybe that is the expectation but they want to close the liability question. See attached link: http://www.systemsensor.com/pdf/A05-0272.pdf Can anyone offer any pros and cons with respect to using these devices? It looks like they would be a good product to ensure that the flow switches will work when called upon. Thanks in advance.
