Gents: This is a tough one - I see both sides...That said, I am reminded that "listing" issues (as explained to me by "experts") should be considered when: 1) A backflow prevention assembly (inside of structure) must be same size as underground "lead-in" (USC??)---No 6" reduced down to 4" BFP...2) If you remove/replace parts/valves on a BFP, you violate the UL-Listing...It seems to me if you 'violate' the listings, the attorneys can step in and show us who really controls our industry!!
