Neither NFPA 13D nor IRC P2904 requires a pump to meet NFPA 20 requirements or listing (other than the same electrical UL listing for every electric appliance). As noted, there could be a local amendment related to care facilities; however, until we get into NFPA 13R and/or NFPA 13 applications, no such requirement exists.
